#678 - S021 The Flame Pearls-VIII The Hungry Isles (11-09-41 to 04-12-42)

Emile has provided us with a high resolution version of this story - the last installment in that series.

Download the story here.

A couple of strips are in B&W while the rest are in color. Luckily I had these strips in color and here they are:

Thank you Emile, for the strip.

675 - Some Flash Gordon Sunday strips

Courtesy, Emile, we have some Flash Gordon Sunday strips. S176 was the last Sunday strip drawn by Dan Barry (the brother of Sy Barry, who drew the Phantom). S177 was a reprint of an earlier Dan Barry comic strip. S178 thru S188 was drawn by a group of Latin American artists.

Starting with S189, King Features got a new artist Jim Keefe to do the artwork for the Flash Gordon Sunday strips. While remaining faithful to the creation of Alex Raymond, Jim did bring his own touch to the strips.

Here are the original links from Emile:

#663 - A Black and White version of Mandrake Sunday strip no 22 again from Emile

Though this adventure takes place when Mandrake and Lothar traveled on the ship Argos, this is not considered as part of the "Flame Pearls" series.

Emile has provided us with a Hi-Res Black and White version of this story. The first panel is as follows:

The full story can be downloaded here. Shower your thanks on Emile.

You may also recall that a color version of this story, culled out and edited by Paulo had been posted in this blog, a couple of years ago. That story can be downloaded here. The first panel looks like this:

Enjoy,

#652 - The latest Phantom - Mandrake combo

This past Thursday was Thanks Giving here in the USA. People got to be with the ones they loved and shared their happiness. It was a period of reflection of who they were and who they were thankful for.

For me it turned out to be really bad as my computer went kaput on the day before ThanksGiving. I got it repaired and I am back now.

This story has the Phantom, Mandrake, Lucifer and of course Narda, Diana and a trio of gun-wielding beauties all in bikinis.

This strip was forwarded to me by Emile. And here is the original link from where you can download the story.

Enjoy the (belated due to my computer problems) ThanksGiving gift from Emile and send all thanks to him.

D236_ThePhantomLion_(08-20-2012_to_03-30-2013

Here is the latest daily strip of The Phantom, the Ghost Who Walks, which just concluded yesterday. Written by DePaul and art by Ryan.

Download the strip here

This has been a contribution of Emile. So all thanks and credit to Emile.

Note to people who have had trouble enjoying downloads from sendspace.
MediaFire and Rapidshare have been making a lot of changes in the way they work and a lot of scanners have started using other file-sharing sites such as sendspace, zippyshare etc. Here is what you need to do:

01. Click on the link and you will get the following:

02. Click on the link where there is a download arrow and it says "Click here to start download from sendspace".
03. Save the file into a folder of your choice. The file comes down as a zip file..
04.You cannot rename this as a CBR or CBZ file, because this was created in an Apple machine. It is always a good policy NOT to rename a RAR file or a ZIP file to a CBR or CBZ file respectively, without verifying the contents. So unzip this file into a folder.
05. Go the folder where you have unzipped the file. You will see a folder called "__MACOSX" along with a whole lot of GIF files..
06. Delete the "__MACOSX" folder, as that cannot be viewed in CDisplay or GonVisor.
07. ZIP or RAR the Gif files to a CBR or CBZ file of your choice and open the file for viewing.
08. Voila! You have a viewable comic.

Hope this helps.

Happy Easter to all

Venkit
